What in the world is Write Like a Rock Star?
It’s a place where kids can share their poems with the world, and you can help us reward their creative efforts! Whether they are funny, sad, or just plain crazy, Thaddeus Rex wants to see your kids’ poems!
Help your children submit their work. The public will vote for a winner, and the winner will become a professional songwriter!
How it Works
The contest is open to children across the U.S. (grades K – 6.)
- Submit your poems Monday thru Thursday
- Vote for your favorites Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
- Your votes decide each week’s winner
- Weekly winners compete in the Grand Prize Vote (last week of April)
- Cast your Grand Prize Votes and help choose our new professional songwriter!
- Thaddeus helps the Grand Prize Winner turn their poem into a song for his next CD.
If you write that winning poem, you will be a professional songwriter! You will earn royalty checks and maybe even get to hear your song on the radio!
